3. Connect your iPod Touch 1G to computer

4. extract the .rar file

5. Start iTunes 8.2 & Select iPod Touch from devices list

6. Hold Shift and click update.

7. Locate iPod Touch ipsw file

8. Do not disconnect till iTunes has completed updating iPod Touch

i got an error with redsnow to. stoped at a ram thing. don't remember extacly.

i odn't know if it's working with iTunes 7.7. don't think so, think you need iTunes 8.2. worked perfectly for me. you can download iTunes for free from www.apple.com

i doesn work initially, but once i updated my itunes, it worked!
